My youngest sister is the absolute sweetest thing. My wife and I just got married less than two months ago, but none of our guests got us the slippers that we wanted. I wanted this really nice expensive set of plush slippers, but apparently none of our attendants chose this for a gift. I hadn’t really thought about it until a few weeks ago when my sister called us up. She wanted to meet and have lunch and give us her gift. She didn’t want to give it at the wedding because she didn’t have enough money then, so we said that was fine and that she didn’t really need to get us anything. But she said that she was having none of that, and that if it took her an entire year, she would save up to get us something.

After we had lunch she put a box up on the table. My wife opened it immediately and pulled out a pair of stylish bunny slippers. My sister had gotten us the very gift that we totally wanted but no one got for us. We thanked her a great deal and then she even picked up the tab for lunch. She really is the sweetest thing and I hope that her life plays out exactly as it’s supposed to.

I must confess that I am not so keen on clothes with big patterns on them or huge words printed across then. This is why I always choose plain hoodies, jumpers and t shirts.

Some people might call this a boring way to dress but that is part of the fun of life; we all have different tastes and styles. While I am happy with my plain hoodies other people go for the busiest ones they can find, with images and words all over them.

A Sudden Change of Style

I had been happy enough with my plain hoodies for years until a friend convinced me to try a different style. He said that adding a splash of colour and a funny message to my tops would make me appear more light-hearted.

I didn’t feel particularly light-hearted as I brought a bright effort which was about as far from my favourite plain hoodies as could be. To be honest I only wore it outside once, and even then I waited till it was dark and only had to go to the shop on the corner.

This taught me two things. Firstly, never listen to my friend. Secondly, we all have our own styles. Mine happens to include plain hoodies and I am happy to stick with them no matter what other people say.
